Description
F Ball F44 Styccobond Acrylic Adhesive
STYCCOBOND F44 is a solvent-free acrylic emulsion adhesive, which is designed to give a high bond strength, strong initial tack and a long open time. It is protected against bio-degradation and is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating installations.
STYCCOBOND F44 can be used for securing vinyl sheet and tile floorcoverings to EN654, EN649 and EN651; rubber floorcoverings and some textile floorcoverings with PVC and polyurethane foam backings.
STYCCOBOND F44 can also be used in conjunction with STYCCOBOND F2 Release Adhesive to provide a RELEASE BOND system.
STYCCOBOND F44 can be applied to STOPGAP smoothing underlayments, structurally sound, smooth, dry subfloors of concrete and sand/cement screed, plywood, flooring grade chipboard and hardboard.
STOPGAP Waterproof Surface Membranes and sound flooring grade asphalt must be skimmed with a minimum of 3mm of the appropriate STOPGAP smoothing underlayment.

Application:
Holding the trowel at an angle of 60°, spread the adhesive evenly over an area of the subfloor that can be covered whilst the adhesive remains receptive and gives good transfer.
On absorbent surfaces – lay the floorcovering immediately, when installing tiles, leave the adhesive for approximately 10 minutes before placing the flooring, to reduce the potential for sliding.
Non-absorbent surfaces – Apply the adhesive and allow it to partially dry to a firm tack before laying the floor covering. When installing impervious sheet floor coverings, the double drop technique can be used to reduce the time taken waiting for the adhesive to dry. Lay the floor covering into the wet adhesive, press all over to achieve transfer, and then pull it back exposing the adhesive. Leave until the adhesive has dried to a firm tack before replacing the flooring accurately in position.
Roller application – On both absorbent and non-absorbent subfloors, to minimise the effect of adhesive shadowing through vinyl floorcoverings, apply the adhesive then immediately roll with a paint roller, which has been pre-wetted with the adhesive, to obtain a smooth, uniform appearance. Place the floorcovering when the adhesive has dried to a firm tack and is still receptive to the floorcovering.
DO NOT use the roller to extend the stated coverage as this will reduce adhesion

Precautions:
Do not apply loads or move furniture on the floorcovering until the adhesive has fully set. Do not weld vinyl floor coverings until the adhesive has had sufficient time to develop a good bond, normally 24 hours.
